In 1998, Sergey graduated with excellence with a degree in international economics from the Krasnoyarsk Academy of Non-Ferrous Metals and Gold, Russia. After returning back to Russia he had set up his own business within the banking sphere and in 2008 he was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of Krasnoyarsk Territorial Banking Organization. Sergey had managed to develop the business from an idea to a big organization with 200 employees. In 2012 he had successfully sold his banking corporation for $1.5M. As a specialist in management Sergey was looking for a new professional challenge and in 2014 he has established ‘EastGeology’ group of companies for gold exploration and mining purposes. Soon after he has won the first license for a placer gold deposit. It was a totally ‘greenfield’ project unknown to Sergey. However, Sergey has invested his own cash into ‘Eastgeology’ and Sergey has been successful to attract foreign investments into the project.
As nowadays ‘Eastgeology’ is a well operating and quite successful private group of companies, Sergey feels confidence to look for a bigger investor to extent the gold mining business in Siberia in a bigger way, which in fact means establishing of gold ore exploration and production business.
