Georgy Fotin currently holds a position of Director in Investment Department and Head of metals and mining team at the Government-backed Russian Far East Investment and Export Agency. Supervised by the deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Mr. Trutnev, the Agency is responsible for development of the Government policy, investment promotion and implementation of state support in the Russian Far East.
Prior to joining the Agency, Georgy worked for a large private equity fund with assets under management of more than USD 3 BN where he was responsible for overseas development of nickel and platinum projects. Georgy also has investment banking experience in metals and mining from the largest Russian investment bank VTB Capital.
Georgy has an MA degree in Financial economics and a BA degree in International business from Moscow State.
