Erik Bethel Co-founded Interval Partners in 2016. Previously he was a Managing Director at Darby Private Equity, the Emerging Markets PE subsidiary of Franklin Templeton. He has more than 20 years of natural resource-related private equity and M&A experience in Latin America, China, and the United States. Prior to joining Darby, Erik was Managing Partner and Co-founder of SinoLatin Capital, a private equity firm based in Shanghai where he focused on natural resources/mining transactions between Latin America and China. Previously, he was Managing Director of Chinavest Ltd, one of China’s first private equity/venture capital firms. Earlier in his career, Erik worked in the private equity and investment banking divisions of J.P. Morgan and Morgan Stanley. He earned an MBA degree from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and a B.S. in Economics and Political Science from the United States Naval Academy. Erik speaks English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Mandarin.
