Andrew Corbett has operated in the mining industry for over 23 years. He is the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Kingston Resources (ASX:KSN). Kingston is a metals exploration company, the Company’s priority is the world-class Misima Gold Project in PNG, which contains a JORC resource of 2.8Moz Au, a production history of over 3.7Moz and potential for additional growth through exploration success.
Prior roles include Portfolio Manager of the Global Resource Fund at Perpetual Investments, General Manager with Orica Mining Services, based in Germany, and extensive mine management and operational experience in Australia. Andrew Muir has more than 25 years’ experience in mining and finance, having originally qualified as a geologist from UWA in 1993.
As a geologist, Mr Muir spent 12 years working in many remote parts of Western Australia in a variety of roles in both exploration and mining. His exploration roles included: the early stage drill-out of the Jundee gold deposit; grassroots exploration around Southern Cross and Bullfinch; and a number of years at the Granny Smith operation where he was the Lake Cary project geologist. Whilst at Granny Smith, Mr Muir was instrumental in the discovery of the multi-million ounce Wallaby deposit.
His mining experience includes both open pit and underground roles at a number of sites including Agnew, Paddington and Kundana. In 2005 Mr Muir transitioned into the financial markets, working as a Resources Equity Analyst for firms such as JP Morgan, Hartleys and PCF Securities, and in the Corporate Finance team at Argonaut. In 2009 he won the Starmine and Australian Financial Review Stock Picker of the Year for Mining and Metals.

Dr Andrew Stewart is an exploration geologist with over 15 years’ experience in mineral exploration; primarily focused on project generation, project evaluation and exploration strategy development throughout Asia and Eastern Europe. Andrew has been Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Xanadu Mines (ASX:XAM) since 2016 and prior to that had been Chief Executive Officer.
Andrew has particular expertise in porphyry copper-gold and epithermal gold deposits, but has worked across a diverse range of commodities. He holds a BSc (Hons) from Macquarie University and a PhD from the Centre of Ore Deposits and Exploration Studies at the University of Tasmania.
During his time at Ivanhoe Mines and Vale Andrew held various technical and management positions in Mongolia and Indonesia and has been involved in several green fields discoveries. After providing technical and program management for Vale in Indonesia and Mongolia, Andrew joined Xanadu Mines as Chief Geologist leading the gold and base metals project generation and evaluation team in Mongolia.

Anthony Desir is SAMI’s head of Corporate Finance and the fund’s lead partner in Asia. He has had a 35 year career starting on Wall Street in 1981 where he worked as a banker and a management consultant to financial institutions.
He is recognized as one of the region’s experts on China-Africa resource capitalization solutions. He personally managed the financing plan for equipment leasing during construction of Hong Kong’s Chep Lap Kok Airport from 1995 to 1997, managing the program with lead finance partner GE Capital and a group of regional and local banks. His active client base includes listed and unlisted entities, global and regional banks, and China State Owned Enterprises.
His focus is on originating innovative corporate finance programs and solutions for clients. He has been a featured presenter at a number of industry forums, and an author and columnist. He is a guest lecturer at Hong Kong University Business School, Perking University (Shenzhen), City University (Hong Kong). He has lived and worked in Hong Kong since 1990. Anthony graduated from Dartmouth College, with honours, in 1981.

He has been a journalist and editor for 26 years covering everything from wars in Africa to the current resources boom. Born in Glasgow, he has lived in Johannesburg, Sydney, Singapore and now splits his time between Tasmania and Asia. He writes about trends in commodity and energy markets, with a particular focus on the rise of China. In more than a decade of living in Australia, Clyde covered the rapid development of liquefied natural gas, iron ore and coal projects and the subsequent travails of over-supplied markets.
Prior to moving to Sydney, Clyde worked as an editor for Reuters in Johannesburg covering gold and precious metals as well as the development of post-apartheid South Africa. Before becoming a financial journalist in 1996, Clyde covered civil wars in Angola, Mozambique and other African hotspots for Agence-France Presse. The release of Nelson Mandela and South Africa’s often violent, but ultimately successful transition to democracy were early career highlights.

Mr. Craig Parry has over 18 years in the resources sector. Mr. Parry is the current President and Chief Executive Officer of IsoEnergy Ltd. and is a Director of NexGen Energy Ltd.
Mr. Parry is a co-founder of EMR Capital and former senior advisor to the Fund. He was a co-founder of the Tigers Realm Group and was appointed to the Boards of Tigers Realm Minerals, Tigers Realm Metals and NexGen Energy Ltd. (as it then was prior to the Qualifying Transaction) in 2011. Mr. Parry was appointed to the role of CEO of Tigers Realm Coal in 2012.
Mr. Parry, as an exploration and business development geologist, was responsible for the business development activities of the Tigers Realm Group since inception in 2008.
Prior to joining Tigers Realm, Mr. Parry was the Business Development Manager for G-Resources Limited responsible for mergers and acquisitions and Principal Geologist – New Business at Oxiana Limited responsible for strategy and business development initiatives in bulk and energy commodities. At Rio Tinto he led exploration programs for iron ore, copper, diamonds, coal and bauxite in Australia, Asia and South America and was Principal Geologist for the Kintyre Uranium project pre-feasibility study. Mr. Parry holds an Honours Degree in Geology and is a Member of the AusIMM.

Edward Gustely is a Co-Founder and Managing Director of Penida Capital Advisors Ltd. He has over $30 billion of emerging market experience involving infrastructure and the digital economy, capital restructurings and business turnarounds, and has advised on $7.5 billion of securitization issues including the successful launch of Indonesia’s maiden 30-year global bond. He has played a pivotal role in building Indonesia’s Sovereign Wealth Fund and Infrastructure Finance Agencies, and is the Chief Architect of the Indonesia Green Investment Fund launched by Indonesia’s President for scaling the country’s lowcarbon growth plan.
Edward Gustely’s extensive international career has primarily focused on the emerging markets. He has co-founded several start-ups and private equity partnerships and served as the Managing Director of Goldhill International where he was responsible for growing it’s corporate finance and transaction management practice from $2 million to over $4.2 billion. Edward began his professional career with IBM in Germany and the U.S. as a systems engineer and industry executive. Edward Gustely’s public sector engagements include serving as the cabinet-appointed U.S. Senior Advisor to four-Indonesia Finance Ministers (three awarded Euromoney’s ‘Finance Minister of the Year’), and to the U.S. Treasury.

Ernie Thrasher has over forty (40) years’ experience in the coal industry. His coal experience began in 1974 working for a family owned mining company with operations in Maryland. Thrasher held various positions in mine operations and mine management through 1981.
Prior to forming Xcoal Energy & Resources in 2003, Thrasher spent twenty-two (22) years in various global marketing positions at Primary Coal and AMCI. Xcoal is the largest exporter of U.S. origin coal to Asia. In addition to marketing U.S. origin coal to customers throughout the world, Xcoal activities include the financing and development of mining projects and related infrastructure projects.
Thrasher founded XLNG Energy & Resources in 2015, which plans to market natural gas from abundant reserves in the Marcellus and Utica Shale basins in U.S. to the existing customer in Europe and Asia. Thrasher serves on the Board of Directors of Barrick Gold Corporation, the President’s Leadership Council-Boy Scouts of America, is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and serves as a Director on the National Committee on U.S. China Relations.

Dr. George Fang is a professor level senior metallurgist, a Ph.D. in Mineral Processing, and a license holder authorized by the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong.
George Fang worked with the Northwest Research Institute of Mining and Metallurgy from 1982 to 1992. He was with Beijing General Research Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (the “BGRIMM”) between 1996 and 2002 and served a number of roles namely the Section Team Leader, Senior Metallurgist, Director of the Ore Processing Research Office, Professor Level Senior Metallurgist, and Head of the Research Institute of Mineral Engineering of BGRIMM.
Then George Fang was with China Minmetals Nonferrous Metals Co., Ltd., and took various positions as Deputy General Manager of China United Copper Co., Ltd., Director and General Manager of Minmetals JCCL Mining Investment Co., Ltd., Executive Director and Chairman of Lumina Copper SAC, and the Chief Technology Officer of China Minmetals Non-ferrous Metals Co., Ltd. and General Manager of its Investment Department, and served as board members of several Minmetals’ overseas joint ventures.

Mr. Gianni Kovacevic is a renowned expert on incumbent energy systems and a sought-after strategist in the divestment movement. Dr. Greg Guocheng Pan has been the Chief Executive Officer and President of Hanking Group and Fushun Hanking Mining since 2005. Dr. Pan is responsible for mine management and daily operations of the Hanking Group. Dr. Pan served as the Chief Executive Officer and President at China Hanking Holdings Limited since May 28, 2015 until March 20, 2018. Dr. Pan served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of China Hanking Holdings Limited from February 25, 2011 to August 26, 2014.
Dr. Pan held a number of senior positions with various organizations, including AngloGold North America, GeoSight, Inc. and Gold Fields. With his previous and current positions, Dr. Pan has obtained more than 27 years of experience in mine operations and management. Hamish holds an Honours Degree in Mining Engineering from the Royal School of Mines UK and an MBA from Deakin University. He has extensive corporate and operational experience in public companies within Australia and overseas in the capacity of Managing Director and CEO. Hamish has built a career developing exciting projects around the world and has a reputation for high standards in community liaison, environmental excellence and developing a safety culture.
Hamish has broad experience in the resource sector, but in particular was Managing Director of the Koba Tin mining and smelting company in Sumatra, Indonesia, and Independence Platinum with smelting operations in South Africa. Hamish was also a General Manager in WMC’s nickel division with smelting and refining activities in Western Australia.
Ian Hiscock has 9 years’ experience both as a market analyst and industry consultant. He is currently Head of Consulting, Hong Kong and SE Asia with overall responsibility for CRU’s Consulting business in the region. Between 2015-2017, he was Desk Manager Non-Ferrous Metals and 2012-2015 Desk Manager Ferrous Metals with responsibility for designing and executing consulting projects in these respective areas for a global client base.
Ian has lead numerous consulting projects in the areas of strategy development, financial transactions and negotiation support across a wide range of commodities including iron ore, coal, manganese, copper, aluminium, sulphur, sulphuric acid and uranium. He has undertaken primary research at mines and metals processing facilities all over the world and delivered presentations and workshops to senior managers and company executives. Additionally, Ian is recognised as an expert on the uranium and nuclear power markets. Some recent consulting projects include the following.
Uranium Market Expert Witness. Lead a team of 4-5 consultants and experts to evaluate a number of commercial and technical assumptions used in a damage claim in a legal dispute. This included pricing, costs, industry structure and market conditions. Ian gave evidence at the London Court of International Arbitration in late 2017

Jarryd is a veteran of the commodity world. For almost a decade, he held various senior positions at Noble Group, having been based in South East Asia, Africa, Europe and the Middle East. Jarryd’s skillset is highly diverse, with exposure to an array of commodities and geographic regions. In addition to managing and growing trading books, Jarryd built a number of successful trading and distribution businesses throughout Africa.
Prior to his experience in the commodity space, Jarryd was a commando in one of the world’s most elite military units. Jayant Bhandari is constantly traveling the world to look for investment opportunities, particularly in the natural resource sector. He advises institutional investors about his finds. He was a Director on the board of Gold Canyon, a publicly-listed Canadian company, until its merger with another entity. Earlier, he worked for six years with US Global Investors (San Antonio, Texas), a boutique natural resource investment firm, and for one year with Casey Research. Before emigrating from India, he started and ran Indian subsidiary operations of two European companies. He still travels multiple times a year to India.

John Lamb is an experienced executive with a career spanning more than 30 years across Australia and Southeast Asia operating in the resources, property, forestry, transport and civil construction sectors; and in both the listed and unlisted environments.
He was previously the General Manager of the Rosebery Polymetallic Mine in Tasmania (owned by MMG) and the Century Zinc Mine (previously owned by MMG) in Queensland.
John has an MBA, is a qualified surveyor, a Chartered Professional Member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and an Order of Merit Graduate of the AICD Company Directors course.

He has been a speaker at natural resources conferences and is a contributor for Latin America focused mining magazines.
Jorge was a founding member of the Mexican Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong. He is a Director of Offshore Bunkers Hong Kong, marine fuel trading company based in Hong Kong. He is also an advisor and shareholder of Standard Investment, a Mongolian Investment Bank.
Jorge is fluent in English, Hindi, Spanish and Portuguese and speaks conversational Chinese.

Louis Kuijs is Head of Asia Economics at Oxford Economics, based in Hong Kong. He is responsible for leading the firm’s Asia macroeconomic research and forecasting, and overseeing the team of economists across the region.
Prior to joining Oxford Economics, Louis held a number of senior positions in both the public and private sectors, including at the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the World Bank, and most recently as Chief Economist for Greater China for the Royal Bank of Scotland in Hong Kong. While with the World Bank in Beijing, he led the well-regarded China Quarterly Update, headed the Bank’s mid-term review of China’s 11th Five Year Plan and led research on China’s saving and investment, rebalancing, and long term growth and structural change.
Mr. Kuijs is a well-known observer of the Chinese economy and contributes regularly to the international media.

For the past twenty years Michel has been instrumental in establishing and running various Capital Markets businesses both in Asia and Europe. Currently a Principal and MD in an advisory boutique based in Hong-Kong linked to two financiers (one Family Office and a corporate).
Previously, until May 2009 in charge of the capital markets businesses and subsidiaries in Asia of Natixis, the third largest French banking group. Additional to the overall management of the businesses, also directly in charge of the structuring teams for the various asset classes ( fixed income and FX and their derivatives, equities and commodities and their derivatives) for both asset / investor products as well as for the liabilities side for corporate mainly.
Has also developed a Strategic Solutions business for both corporate and institutional to cover their hedging and risk management needs as well as their funding needs.
Also appointed a board member for various subsidiaries and entities of the bank in the region.
From 2001 to 2004, Deputy head of the market and investment banking activities of the bank in London covering all asset classes.
Has also developed a global macro hedge fund business on the books of the bank as well as a real estate financing business that has engineered flagship deals from corporate deleveraging on their real estate assets.
He has spent a total of 23 years in Asia, 12 of which in Japan, where he graduated from Sophia University.

Peter Marrone founded Yamana Gold in July 2003 and currently serves as Executive Chairman of the company.
Since Yamana was founded, it has become a major gold, silver and copper producer from mines in the Americas. Mr. Marrone has more than 30 years of mining, business and capital markets experience and has been on the boards of a number of public companies and advised companies with a strong South American presence.

Randy Smallwood holds a geological engineering degree from the University of British Columbia, and is one of the founding members of Wheaton Precious Metals (NYSE: WPM).
In 2007, he joined Wheaton Precious Metals (Formerly Silver Wheaton) full time as Executive Vice President of Corporate Development, primarily focusing on growing the company through the evaluation and acquisition of silver stream opportunities. In January 2010 he was appointed President, and in April 2011 he was appointed Silver Wheaton’s Chief Executive Office. Randy Smallwood originally started as an exploration geologist with Wheaton River Minerals Ltd., and in 2001 was promoted to Director of Project Development, his role through its 2005 merger with Goldcorp.
Before joining the original Wheaton River group in 1993, Mr. Smallwood also worked with Homestake Mining Company, Teck Corp. and Westmin Resources. Richard Taylor is the Chief Executive Officer of Terramin Australia Limited. Richard Taylor is a mining executive with more than 15 years’ experience in senior international and resource sector roles. Richard Taylor was most recently Managing Director of PanAust Ltd’s Asia business subsidiary, Phu Bia Mining Limited, where he held responsibility for business development initiatives in Myanmar and exploration in Laos. Rod Nichol is the Managing Director of Lionsgate Capital Limited, a principal investment and advisory firm, based in Hong Kong, with a primary concentration on Energy and Natural Resources. Rod founded Lionsgate Capital in 2010 after thirteen years in investment banking, based in London, as a Senior Advisor and Natural Resources coverage banker. Ronald-Peter Stöferle is a Partner of Incrementum AG and responsible for Research and Portfolio Management.
At the age of 14 he bought his first share, and his fascination with the financial markets was further fuelled during the dotcom boom. He has felt this passion ever since, which is why he is happy to have found his vocation at a young age.
He studied Business Administration and Finance in the USA and at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration, and also gained work experience at the trading desk of a bank during his studies. Upon graduation he joined the Research department of Erste Group, where he published his first “In Gold We Trust” report in 2007. Over the years, the Gold Report has proceeded to become one of the benchmark publications on gold, money, and inflation.
Since 2013 he has held the position as reader at scholarium in Vienna, and he also speaks at Wiener Börse Akademie (i.e. the Vienna Stock Exchange Academy). In 2014, he co-authored the book “Austrian School for Investors” and in 2017 “Die Nullzinsfalle” (The Zero Interest Rate Trap).

Shaun McCarthy is the Chief Executive Officer of Multicom Resources and is an accomplished Civil Engineer with over 15yrs experience across the mining and construction sectors. Stefan White is a Portfolio Manager at LIM Advisors, a Hong Kong based investment manager established in 1995 and with total assets under management of approximately US$2bn.
Stefan’s mandate at LIM includes private debt investments in mining and mining services.
Prior to joining LIM Stefan worked in an executive finance capacity with a large Indonesian coal mining conglomerate. Previous to that Stefan worked at Lazard and at Deutsche Morgan Grenfell working on numerous corporate finance, restructuring and project finance mandates, principally in SE Asia. Stephen Motteram has over 20 years experience in financial institutions and trading houses, specialising in commodities trading, project & structured finance, equity and equity-linked investments, and is the Global Head of Asset Development at Noble Group (SGX: CGP). He has over 20 years experience in commodities trading and financing. Since joining Noble in 2011, he has worked on transactions in Australia, Indonesia, Africa, India, Brazil and China.
Prior to this he worked at National Australia Bank and Louis Dreyfus. Stephen graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Science and a Graduate Diploma in Economics. Throughout his career, Steve has actively demonstrated his commitment to voluntary leadership. Thomas Puppendahl is an investment professional with over 20 years of experience in global capital markets as a portfolio manager, strategist, investment banker and analyst. He has managed sovereign debt, equity and macro portfolios and was an early investor in emerging markets and precious metals. Prior to setting up Chancery Asset Management, Mr Puppendahl worked with Merrill Lynch International, Ermgassen & Co, a London-based investment banking firm, and the Monitor Group, a global management consulting and private equity investment firm, in London and India.
Mr Puppendahl started his career as an analyst in the Mergers & Acquisitions department of Merrill Lynch in London, where he worked on major international M&A transactions across multiple industry sectors and was instrumental in closing a high-profile $1.9 billion deal in the midst of the Asian crisis in 1998.
In 1999, Mr Puppendahl joined Ermgassen & Co, a London-based investment banking firm focused on European cross-border M&A advisory services. He advised some of the world’s largest and most reputable companies, such as Siemens, Chevron and Sanofi, on complex cross-border M&A transactions in various industry sectors with a focus on the technology, chemicals and biotech/pharmaceutical industries.
In 2005, Ermgassen & Co became a member of the Monitor Group (now Monitor Deloitte), a global strategy consulting firm founded by Harvard University Professor Michael Porter. As a Global Account Manager of the Monitor Group, Mr Puppendahl has advised numerous blue-chip clients on international growth strategies in India and other emerging markets and helped expand Monitor’s business in India to a new level. Following the acquisition of the Monitor Group by Deloitte in 2012, he continues to serve as a Senior Adviser to Ermgassen & Co.
Known for his contrarian and sometimes provocative ideas, Mr Puppendahl invested aggressively in Argentina’s bond restructuring in 2004/05 before the market realised the value embedded in the country’s GDP warrants, forecasted a four-digit gold price, and predicted the collapse of the US credit bubble in 2007.

Warren Gilman was appointed Chairman and CEO of CEF Holdings in 2011. Prior to that he was Vice Chairman of CIBC World Markets. He was previously Managing Director and Head of Asia Pacific Region for CIBC for 10 years where he was responsible for all of CIBC’s activities across Asia. Mr Gilman is a mining engineer who co-founded CIBC’s Global Mining Group in 1988. During his 26 years with CIBC he ran the mining team in Canada, Australia and Asia and worked in the Toronto, Sydney, Perth, Shanghai and Hong Kong offices of CIBC. He has acted as advisor to the largest mining companies in the world including BHP, Rio Tinto, Anglo American, Noranda, Falconbridge, Meridian Gold, China Minmetals, Jinchuan and Zijin and has been responsible for some of the largest equity capital markets financings in Canadian mining history. At CEF he will apply this experience to developing a long term portfolio of quality resource investments.
Warren is a regular contributor to mining industry forums and discussions. In addition to bi-weekly commentary on commodity and mining issues for the CNBC Asia Network he has annually co-chaired Diggers and Dealers in Kalgoorlie and the China Nickel Conference in Shanghai as well as presented annually to the Asia Mining Congress in Singapore and Mines and Money Hong Kong as well as various CIM events in Canada.
Warren obtained his B.Sc. in Mining Engineering at Queen’s University and his MBA from the Ivey Business School at Western University. He is a member of the International Advisory Board at Western and also the Dean’s Advisory Board of Laurentian University.
