Prior to APAC, he co-founded New City Investment Manager, a natural resource fund management house in the UK and grew assets under management from US$6m to circa US$650m in the space of 4 years. City Natural Resources High Yield Trust was awarded the best UK Investment Trust in 2006. As part of the CQS’s acquisition of New City, Mr. Ferguson became Chief Investment Officer and Senior Portfolio Manager at CQS in Hong Kong.
Prior to New City, he worked for EMG Suisse S.A. on the institutional and private client management team and in the mines as a graduate.

Bert Koth is a Managing Director, responsible for mining investments at Denham Capital. He joined Denham Capital in 2008. Prior to joining Denham, Bert worked at BHP Billiton in business development, and at ING Barings, and Deutsche Bank in their metals and mining corporate finance teams in London, South Africa and the Netherlands.
He currently serves on the Board of Directors of African focused mineral platform Pangea, Auctus Minerals and Pembroke Resources. He has been working in the metals and mining industry for 19 years and lived, travelled and worked in a wide range of countries, including South Africa, Guinea, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Brazil and many others. Erik Bethel Co-founded Interval Partners in 2016. Previously he was a Managing Director at Darby Private Equity, the Emerging Markets PE subsidiary of Franklin Templeton. He has more than 20 years of natural resource-related private equity and M&A experience in Latin America, China, and the United States. Prior to joining Darby, Erik was Managing Partner and Co-founder of SinoLatin Capital, a private equity firm based in Shanghai where he focused on natural resources/mining transactions between Latin America and China. Previously, he was Managing Director of Chinavest Ltd, one of China’s first private equity/venture capital firms. Earlier in his career, Erik worked in the private equity and investment banking divisions of J.P. Morgan and Morgan Stanley. He earned an MBA degree from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and a B.S. in Economics and Political Science from the United States Naval Academy. Erik speaks English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Mandarin.
He was most recently an owner and Investment Director of Pacific Road Capital, a private equity manager, investing in the global mining industry.

Greg leads the banks Equity Sales & Trading initiative in Asia following 10 years working in London advising UK and European institutions on both private and publicly-listed Canadian companies. Greg has over 17 years capital markets experience working in North America, Japan, and Europe, which includes commodity trading for Mitsubishi and as a top ranked equity research analyst. Prior to joining CIBC Greg’s experience includes time with Scotiabank and UBS. He holds a BSc from the University of Alberta and an MBA from the University of Toronto, Rotman School of Management.
Hedley graduated as a geologist with first class honours from the University of Melbourne in 2000, following which he gained extensive experience working with WMC Resources at the Mt Keith Nickel Mine, Olympic Dam, Mt Isa (Black Star open cut mine) and the St Ives Gold Mine where he was Senior Mine Geologist of the combined open pits.

Ian Plimer is Emeritus Professor at The University of Melbourne where he was Professor and Head (1991-2005). He was Professor of Geology (University of Newcastle 1985-1991) and Professor of Mining Geology (University of Adelaide 2005-2012).
He has been awarded inter alia the prestigious Leopold von Buch Medal for Science, the Centenary Medal, the Eureka Prize (twice) and is a Fellow of the Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering, a Fellow of the Geological Society of London and a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy. He has published more than 130 scientific works and is author of Ian Plimer’s main geological interests are in ore deposits in base metal deposits (particularly in Broken Hill; epithermal precious metals, Sn-W systems). He serves on the Boards of listed public companies (Ivanhoe Australia Ltd, Niuminco Group Ltd, Kefi Minerals Ltd) and unlisted companies (such as Roy Hill Holdings Pty Ltd and TNT Mines Ltd).
He also served on the Board of the ASX-listed CBH Resources (1998-2010) until it was acquired by Toho Zinc and continues to advise Toho Zinc.

Jake Klein assumed the role of Executive Chairman at Evolution Mining Limited in November 2011 following the merger with Conquest Mining Limited where he was Executive Chairman.
Prior to joining Conquest Mining, Jake had been President and CEO of Sino Gold Mining Limited where he managed the development of that company into the largest foreign participant in the Chinese gold industry. Sino Gold Mining Limited was listed on the ASX in 2002 with a market capitalisation of $100 million and was purchased by Eldorado Gold Corporation in late 2009 for over $2 billion.
