Battery and energy metals and the role of China

While everyone may disagree on the timelines for adoption, there is universal agreement that demand for battery metals and the minerals that drive electrification is only going one way.

Presentations in this session will discuss not just demand for lithium, cobalt, and graphite - the 'new kids on the block' of battery metals – but also demand for 'old school' battery metals like copper and nickel, as well as PGMs (fuel cell batteries). This session will also examine the drivers behind supply/demand for each of these metals.

Who is this relevant to?

Presentations in this session will be relevant to:

  • Any mining company involved in the production of copper, nickel, cobalt, graphite, lithium and PGMs
  • Consultancies and brokers that specialise in battery metals expertise should also attend
  • Electric Vehicle and Battery manufacturers
